A Culinary Journey with Tawnya Bahr
Recently I had the pleasure of working with prominent Australian food expert, consultant and Co-founder of Straight To The Source, Tawnya Bahr. The project involved producing editorial food photography, capturing her delicate and delicious Crab Cakes with Fraser Isle Spanner Crab recipe as featured in A Culinary Journey – an international cookbook produced by Le Cordon Bleu.
In celebration Le Cordon Bleu’s 125 years of excellence in teaching, A Culinary Journey features the recipes and flavours from 70 renowned alumni from all corners of the globe.
Natural light and styling capture the soft and delicate textures, giving shape and colour to this beautiful dish.
Location photography throws up many challenges and opportunities. Including environmental colours bouncing off white walls and ceilings, etcetera. You get the picture. Having the right ‘tools in the kit’ enables me to adjust my approach.
