Blistered Cherry Tomato Pasta
What do you do when you’ve got a bit of spare time? Cook up a storm and photograph it, of course! This brings me to Italian food… Not only is it super delicious and healthy but it looks so darn good – vibrant colours and contrasting textures.
This is my take on an Italian classic – blistered cherry tomato pasta with caramelised garlic, parsley and olive oil. Simple and wholeheartedly delicious. Just add some cracked pepper and salt – pasta perfecto!
The dark styling punches out the beautiful reds in the tomatoes. Shot and produced in my studio using natural light. I can tapper down the amount and angle the light as required to effect the look I’m after. Yes, I’ll use reflectors or fill lights when and where necessary, but if I can manage without, even better. Give it that natural hue.
For a different look and feel, change up the styling. An easy option is always the background or benchtop. The styling below has a softer, lighter quality.
